Compliance
Introduction
The Compliance Department’s role is to ensure regulatory compliance in the gambling industry and to further implement and continuously review norms and standards that will ensure standardisation within the gambling industry. The department must on a continuous basis, ensure that all PLAs adhere to these standards by ensuring that they conduct compliance reviews on licensees. This is done by conducting compliance and oversight inspections on PLAs.
The Compliance Department is further responsible to maintain databases developed as contemplated in the Act. These databases are working tools for the industry and are pivotal as compliance tools and for other uses as deemed necessary.
