The National Gambling Board (NGB) has called on South Africans to safeguard their household finances and exercise caution when participating in gambling activities following the release of Statistics South Africa's Quarterly Labour Force Survey for the second quarter of 2026 which paints a concerning picture of the economic pressures facing many South Africans.

The National Gambling Board (NGB), working with the Limpopo Gambling Board, Mpumalanga Economic Regulator, North West Gambling Board and the South African Police Service (SAPS), constituted under the newly established Illegal Gambling Task Team (IGTT) of the Law Enforcement Forum has concluded the first disruptive operations.

ERRATUM TO NGB EXPRESSION OF INTEREST TO BLOCK ILLEGAL ONLINE GAMBLING WEBSITES

The NGB hereby amends the expression of interest (EOI) for the provision of a monitoring, tracking, blocking and reporting solution to detect and prevent illicit gambling activities undertaken online, which was issued on the 30th of June 2026. Refer to the erratum read in conjunction with EOI that was published on the 30th of June 2026. Alternatively, service providers can refer to the revised EOI as attached.
