The Gambling Sector Performance encompasses the analysis and evaluation of the gambling industry’s overall effectiveness, growth, and challenges. This includes assessing key metrics such as revenue generation, market trends, regulatory compliance, and the social and economic impacts of gambling activities.
Gambling Sector Performance
The NGB gathers information from Provincial Licensing Authorities (PLAs) which enables us to assess trends in the South African gambling landscape and inform stakeholders about the size and growth of the industry each year.
National Statistics
NGB monitors market conduct (number of gambling positions and outlets in the South African gambling sector) and also gathers and analyses national gambling statistics in terms of turnover (TO), Gross Gambling Revenue (GGR) and the collection of taxes/levies.
